The removal of a segment of Old South Drive to replace failing concrete located atop a drainage culvert required extensive coordination with both Fort Bend County and the City of Richmond. The existing pavement and sidewalk were saw cut, removed, disposed and replaced with new subgrade, including cement stabilized sand and reinforced concrete pavement, curb, and sidewalk. An extensive traffic control plan, including detours, was designed and implemented.
